So clearly, I am behind in my blogging! Starting where I left off - band and orchestra concerts. Kaitlyn (Clarinet) She plays well, made it into honors band next year, and got to conduct one song during the concert. She LOVES music. Gideon does pretty well for their concerts; he loves music too. This one was a little long though. I'm not sure how much data we used that night, but afterwards we downloaded a movie to the phones! Alee finished up her school year - we were trying to make an electromagnet (and we sort of did). Seth - first year back in orchestra for high school. (He took a break in 9th and did guitar.) We finished Alee's year with a trip to the statehouse. (We had done government back in Feburary, but I figured we'd wrap up the year with review and field trip.) (In case you have trouble getting technology to cooperate, don't worry! You'll only miss me warming up the piano for everyone else.) Let's start with the Gideon quotes and skills! Someone found him licking/eating a (non-toxic) glue stick: "Nummy." He's a wall artist (murals); he's an everything artist. sigh Gideon raised his hand during scriptures (because Kaitlyn had). When I asked if he had anything to say, it was "all done." (He's always "all done" with things that require reverence...spiritual training takes effort!) A batch of muffins were on the counter for later, and he wanted a muffin. (or "muffom" as he says). I told him he had to wait, he asked "pway?" with his hands together and eyes squinted. (It was so cute that I almost gave him one rather than explain they were for later.) He almost put the cord of a pair of headphones in an electrical outlet (most that he can access have plugs, but sometimes they get left out after I vacuum or someone needs the outlet). Sheesh!
