My kids are a little weird (which I think is normal)

First story... On the way to school one morning, I was doing something with my hand that put it near enough to my face to smell peanut butter on it from having made lunch boxes that morning. (I usually wash them off because I hate PB and don't want to smell like it or taste like it.) But I guess I hadn't washed the PB off well enough that morning. I asked whoever was in the front seat to get a wet wipe from the little organized compartment of "mary poppins" I have in the van. While Kaitlyn (I think it was?) was fishing out the wet wipe, Alee offered, "I could lick your hand for you." (um, no thanks) Next story... My kids like to play this game called Minecraft. It's a video game where you build this little "world". There are different versions that are more creative and some that have some bit of competition or purpose other than just creating stuff (houses, animals, random other structures)...Rob sometimes plays with them and has c...

Mother's Day 2016

They know that more than gifts or chores done, what I really want are pictures. So, they cooperated and took a picture with me after church. No complaints or aggravating children.  I also got some cards, gifts, and work from everyone in the house this weekend for mother's day. (I had to edit it down from 1:19 to 1 minute so that I could download it for free.) (We need to work on focus with the kids taking pictures...) Rob pretty much did all my work for the weekend. I jokingly said that the Lord blessed me to have allergy issues mother's day weekend because...

April - fun and exhausting

We played a matching game for FHE trying to match up the topic with the prophet/apostle who spoke on that topic at General Conference. I was the one looking them up, so I'm not sure how I'd have done, but I was impressed at how many the kids got right! School picture time! And then we took some of our own pictures at home (mostly so I could try out my new light kit, but also to let them have fun). BFS = Best Friend Sisters Alee wanted to make expressions for different emotions. Can you guess which one is "serious"? (That was her favorite to make.)  This one was posed by Alee. This is naturally posed face by Alee. It says, "I'm jealous because it's not my turn anymore." Twin time This one was the closest to a real photo attempt. I probably should plan a time to take "real photos" for the wall - it's been 3 years! I'm sure some "fairness expert" (=grandparent) is ask...
