Potty Training? Nope

Image
A picture is worth 1000 words.... but in case you want more, here are 134 more: I was letting the girls play on the front porch area while I was inside...straightening a little, but mostly just standing at the door b/c I have to watch them...(I still dream of a house with a backdoor and a fence in the backyard...or at least the back door so I can buy a fence!) ... Anyways, I was getting the den/hall bath straightened, and sat this little potty chair outside. Kaitlyn never uses it and Natalie isn't yet potty training, so I'm keeping it in the van for those emergency-in-the-school-line-moments while Kaitlyn is potty training.  When I went back to the door, I found Natalie had stripped her diaper and was sitting there on the front porch practicing ‘using’ the potty! I just HAD to take a picture before I corrected the situation!

And so the day begins!

As I'm helping Natalie peel stickers off the blanket chest "Natalie, stickers only go on paper," Kaitlyn walks in and says "lip gloss". Little does she know that RoseArt does not make lipgloss!

Carolyn's quote of the day.

You may have to have some LDS knowledge to get this... We were reading in the Book of Mormon, 1 Nephi, ch.9 about Nephi making two sets of plates by way of commandment of the Lord.   (It is for a wise purpose which is unknown to Nephi.)   And how he engraves (that was interesting to explain "engrave")   on them two different types of records (ministry/historical)   so I asked (reviewing), why did Nephi make two sets of plates. I wanted to hear, "He doesn't know." or "For a wise purpose."   Carolyn said, "Because he didn't have any paper!"

My (not so new) haircut

I told my aunt I got my hair cut (on my birthday) and she said I should post a picture...so a month late (on my brother's birthday), I'm finally posting it! I like it better curled, but honestly...I don't have the umph! to curl it every day (mostly just Sundays I do). And it usually doesn't look this good straight...I waited for a good hair day. (I think I'll try a different place next time I go for layers.) It's alright...and it still fits in a ponytail which is, of course, my main issue with hair.

I have posted something of Seth's recently and something of the twins...and I Have more of the twins. Didn't want my 'middle' child to be left out! So, here is some for Carolyn: I kept Libbi's twins Monday, and found the girls playing dressup. (I hope Conner wasn't too bored playing by himself until Seth got home. Will did watch a movie with him...and we all went to Sam's Club to shop. so maybe he had some fun.)  By the way, they are so polite! "Yes ma'am" this and "no ma'am" that...and Conner put away each toy before he got out the next - Libbi, those two have got to be your best two!  Carolyn loved playing with Sarah Beth all day - they were so cute (and the two little bossy girls got along so well!)  Carolyn wanted me to make donut balls like we had at lunch bunch last week. So, here are homemade 'donut balls'...perhaps the only batch I'll ever make. (I guess they weren't that hard. Next time I'll probably ...

March - Twins

Natalie has been really challenging lately (in other words - aggravating, a pain in the butt, makes me want to scream and say bad words...you get the point). I thought Carolyn was a pain at this age...I had no idea!  It's her way of communicating. She can speak in sentences when she wants to, and even surprises us with big words. But ONLY when SHE feels like it. Mostly when we don't present her with what she expected, instead of saying no (or even crying at us), she crumples to the floor in a pouting pile. (Then, the tantrum comes.) The other thing that drives me crazy is the way she picks fights with everyone else in the house. (Come on - if you're the smallest, at least have the sense not to pick fights! Yes, I know Libbi, Andrew was the same way.  Has he ever stopped?) Well, on the way home from visiting the new cousin at the hospital, (yes, Natalie had had one of those days), she and Kaitlyn began singing some kids songs and primary songs, and sang most of the way home....

Seth - writing

I hope you can read this - I scanned in some schoolwork he brought home! I love it! So to clarify - Seth likes girls but does not want to *be one. :) haha... (*see previous post)
