8 is Great!
The twins turned 8 and the next day they were baptized. I was surprised at how many people attended (especially since it was early in the morning for a Saturday.)
They were so cute and the service was so uplifting. You could feel the Spirit of the Lord there before, during, and after. (And of course we had fun gathering and eating back at our house.)
Here are some pictures:
I sewed them simple, same style peasant dresses as they humbly entered the waters of baptism to follow Jesus Christ. (I put a snap in the hem at the front/back to keep the dress together in the water more easily.)
I sewed them "after" dresses - still white to symbolize purity, but of their own style (they chose the style and materials) - and they were elegant - reminding them to choose to live like the daughters of a Heavenly King that they are.
(From their birthday Friday night before baptism) - earmuffs and mp3 players. oh yeah!)
