The end is in sight!

Finally Spring has decided to stay - just at the end of spring break... no, actually, Summer has arrived instead; we skipped spring!

But we didn't skip spring break - here's a little before and during:
(And thankfully, spring break means the end of the school year and all of our activities and projects and such are ending, leaving us with a completely different kind of busy - the backyard, family fun kind of busy with no teachers to answer to. whoo hoo!)

The kids had 3rd quarter awards.

Leafer has attempted jail break and we now have a piece of wood over that corner to keep him from attempting further exploration. (We do have Seth take him outside to crawl around in the grass now that it's warm.)

School projects. Carolyn studied greek mythology in ELA and was being some moon goddess...Selene, I think. Each member of the class dressed their part and then stood wax museum style around the room, "coming to life" when it was their turn to present. It was cute and Carolyn would probably enjoy a drama class when she's older!

Dying eggs is science in our house. The colors were carefully chosen and measured.

Seth's egg is actually some character they get on cards (like trading cards) at school for accomplishments...I think? He said it so confidently like I was supposed to recognize the little robot creature at first glance.
I'll have to ask the name later.

Of all the Easter prizes, I believe the soccer ball for Natalie and the pink fluffy unicorn for Alee were the most treasured! Hopefully, the rec dept will have soccer on T/Th next year instead of M/W nights so she can sign up this fall!

We finished spring break by going to visit Rob's parents, planting "Aaron's Garden", riding the horse at a friend (of Rob's parents), and celebrating Grandpa's birthday.

My gardeners...they aren't even afraid of the worms.
(which totally creep my out by the way!)

Alee was afraid of the horse and wouldn't even get out of the car!

Silly girls!

We did other stuff during spring break, but nothing else got photographed. I don't think I even took pictures on Easter Sunday. (It's not like I made/bought Easter dresses this year...it was just whatever you had that fit and looked spring-y!)
And now we're in May - full on Recitals, Field trips, concerts, Field Days, Teacher gifts, summer planning, graduation mode!  So busy but with everything spiraling upward into craziness only to end abruptly one at a time.  (Recital is this weekend...more to come)
