Ending 2013 - December
Rushing through this without creativity...and moving on to 2014
Seth moved up to yellow belt (picture taken with someone else's cell phone because I was late getting back to pick him up and I missed it!) :(
I should have gone to get Alee up from her nap earlier, but when I did she was butt naked in the bathroom and there is no rushing a 4 year old in the bathroom.
Christmas day (yeah, these aren't even in order)
Christmas program (Dec 12) at school. My little violinist
Lights at the zoo (Dec 16th for FHE) with Bethany's family
I know Alee's head is a blur, but I liked the picture with no flash...the tree in the back looks better in this one. Child needs to learn to be still!
Park on Christmas Eve Eve (Dec 23rd) - yeah, it was short sleeve weather
Trying to feed the ungrateful ducks...(they weren't hungry and Will had bought us name brand bread to feed them...so most of us ate a little of the bread meant for the ducks)
Everyone's actually looking and kind of smiling (not matching and Alee's getting so heavy I had to use my flamingo stance, but this was one of only a few shots we took...wish I was this lucky every time I tried to take a picture!)
I love park pictures!
The little boy in Seth came out here...and it's so fitting on this uncle of mine who acts just as silly!
I just threw this one in so you could see the awesome job Rob and I did on Alee's playhouse (pvc and fabric - most of which came from Rob's grandma's stash I brought home after her funeral - so thanks Mem for the fabric!) Everyone loved climbing in and out - it's a 4ft cube with a roof, so it's really big.
Exhausted (and a little disappointed that we had to leave early due to a lice finding)...which we knocked out fast!
Alee doesn't draw, she writes lines and letters. I thought this one was funny right after Christmas - "BAH"
And the excitement continues as Seth used a petsmart gift card he got for Christmas for a turtle. (Red eared slider)
Leafer - our first Pet (really, Seth's first pet - he bought it, he's taking care of it)
He's so enthralled!
(We're getting a tank for it this week, but the rubbermaid box with water, rocks and special lights in our desk lamps worked for a temporary habitat.)
New Years Eve we visited a lot.
First my high school best friend stopped by for a visit with her family. (We hadn't seen each other in years!)
Then, Rob's (and Beth's) cousin (also not seen in about 7 years) was in town visiting a friend so we met his family at the park.
My niece is such a ham!
Kaitlyn loved showing that she could do the monkey bars.
Natalie cried that she couldn't get it. :(
Thom and Iza are at the front and have 2 kids one on her lap and one on his shoulders - the other 3 kids that are not ours/Beth's/Thom's are the friends they were staying with.
New Year's Eve night Kaitlyn tried to make us hats. The fitting was harder than she realized.
(Party Rockers in the house tonight...) :)
(Bethany and Caleb brought over little mixer drinks that we mixed with Sprite or GingerAle (not alcohol!) :) and toasted in the new year. The kids had fun watching new year's eve celebrations from all over the world that had hit midnight before us.
Honestly, we were all a little disappointed that we get lame celebrities instead of awesome fireworks like Taipei or Dubai! haha
Gotta run - normal life began again today and I've got to go.
Happy New Year!
