And so the year begins...

We were all pretty tired (and most were grumpy) for a week or two of school, but we're getting into the swing of things now that school's been going on for a few weeks. And all the extracurricular (they get 1 thing each outside of school & church) - are all in full swing now too.

And now it's Alee's turn for "school" - at least preschool.
We have a preschool group (last year we were 4 big - this year we've got about a dozen kids!) ...

And Alee is really excited about going

Well, maybe not about the boys being there part of it...rats - "I don't like boys to be there."

The computers at the library for kids games are now touch screen - yea!

And shopping with just 1 (well, 2 if you include the doll) is SO much easier than with 5!

Ahh, Friday Night Movie Night!
pizza and a family movie (Epic)
a much needed break at the end of a school week.

And this week Alee starts a "ready by 5" program our district offers for parents and kids
(1 hour class twice a month with activities and plans to help the kids be ready for school and to give parents more ideas for teaching their preschoolers. The twins and I loved it, so we're giving it a go a year early for Alee.)

She's so excited to be like the big kids. (And I'm glad to let her have a taste of school without letting her go yet.) She did so well the first day - following directions and cooperating and listening. She had one moment when she got wiggly at the beginning, but I was able to pull her back in easily.
(Grammy - don't worry - she wasn't running across the road by herself. We checked both ways and then she ran ahead and I got a snapshot...all is safe and well.) :)

And we signed up for the storytime at the library. She also sat through that very well and even ventured away from my lap to sit near the storyteller (librarian) at the front of the rug yesterday.
(Note she decided to be fancy for storytime today...but alas - she went right back to tacky unmatching clothes today.)

Pictures of extracurricular stuff later...still getting all the items required....
don't let me forget!

Love her fancy library day. I can hardly believe she can fit in that dress now. My little Alee pop is growing up fast:)
