Beach Trip 2013 (7.7.2013 - 7.12.2013)

Time to go to the BEACH!

It took a little convincing to get Alee and Kaitlyn to the ocean - 

Kaitlyn was afraid of jellyfish 

(which are often seen on our coast, but not usually during mid morning)

Alee was afraid of sharks

(haha...also have been seen, especially near the pier, but not in ankle deep water)

 The sky was as beautiful as the ocean

Relaxing...(there were not many moments of this calm with 5 kids) :)

Time to go home 

The Pool - learning new things

Alee learned to get off the steps and "hop" through the water 

(she learned she could just reach anywhere the sign said "just three by itself" - that is "3 ft") :)

Seth and Kaitlyn learned to do flips.

Kaitlyn learned to do handstands.

Carolyn tried those a little, but her big new thing was she learned to float on her back.

Natalie kept to above the water (maybe next year after the tubes fall out).

Kaitlyn and Seth played uno with Granddaddy a few times.

They all played Sorry several times.

And the morning we left, the kids learned to play Skip-Bo.

Ears Pierced

Kaitlyn has been asking for a while, but backs out everytime I offer to take her.

She didn't back out this time, but Natalie only wanted to watch - she would wait until she was older.

That plan changed...there was immediate regret, then later satisfaction.

 Good bye Beach, until next summer...
