Children are expensive

Bailey Medical Record:

Seth updated his braces - yellow for the month of May. (Next time I have been forewarned to give him tylenol before I come and that he will be getting some kind of appliance the nurse couldn't even describe to me because she hadn't seen one before - the orthodontist would be putting it in - of course.)

Carolyn - things were a little fuzzy, but not all the time - so I took her in and she needs glasses - but only for certain things (boardwork, tv, computer, long distance, ...probably driving one day) - At first she was embarrassed by the thought of her friends seeing her in glasses, but I talked it up - because, oh my goodness isn't she cute in them? and the day we went to pick them up, she wanted to wear them all day - even when she didn't have to.

She keeps saying, wow, that's clear - I didn't know it was fuzzy before, but now when I take my glasses off it looks fuzzy. (Guess the world is clearer than she knew.) :)

And lastly, Natalie will be having surgery soon - tubes in her ears for one (yeah, one kid can't see, and well, this one can't hear - it's mild) - and she also has to get her tonsils and adenoids out. :(
Sometimes she's excited because she knows she won't be saying "huh?" quite so often and her ears (probably because of the fluid) hurt sometimes (but she doesn't get as many ear infections as most with the fluid problem) - and other times she's not so sure about the idea of surgery that might hurt afterwards.

And the other two?? Well, Kaitlyn wishes she had glasses, and Alee is totally fine...for now - I'm sure she'll get more expensive later. :)
