November 2012
November started with 1st quarter awards at school.
Then, I actually took pictures at preschool (we were using healthy foods to make art) - one little girl really gets into her art (her mother is an artist)...the rest of them just wanted to eat the "art supplies"
Seth participated in his (last) raingutter regatta race at cub scouts
(This was also the first pack meeting that I was "in charge of" with the other pack's committee chair - my newest calling at church is cub scout committee chair for our pack.)
Then, we had two birthdays - in one day.
We celebrated Alee's with a breakfast/brunch party - finishing off with a cake of MONKEY BREAD - yum.
Seth thought it was hilarious when Dora piƱata got decapitated! (We had to silence that before Alee realized the tragedy that had occurred.)
That afternoon we all attended Carolyn's baptism.
She was baptized along with another girl from her primary class.
Carolyn's dress that she was baptized in was the same smocked dress I wore for my baptism.
(Her other white dress I made that week from a pattern she chose and fabric I'd had in my stash for a while.)
Afterwards, we partied again! Carolyn's party was another family - food - visiting type.
More treats - but this time more dinner like - some fruit (Carolyn's favorite) and some sandwiches and tacos (my friend tried to teach me to make corn tortillas homemade, so I had a whole stack of them she sent home with me) - and of course, finished off with Carolyn's favorite cake - pound cake.
(note her lip gloss...she's 8 going on 18)
Back to school for country western day - their dances were so cute
Then, Thanksgiving all together with the Edwards (my side of the family) - all 18 of us - it was a full house for a full weekend!
It was the last time we'd all get to see and be with David for two years...
So, we all coordinated and took family pictures at the beach
and David flew out the next week headed towards Utah for the Missionary Training Center.
