Spring Break 2012
Finally, Friday! (grocery shopping mostly done and ready for the break...hmm, why is there always a chair pushed up to the counter - HEY, those donuts are for tomorrow!
The weekend was General conference - no pictures needed..
Sunday (after General Conference) - April Fool's Day Dinner
Tuesday - Seth and I made 'crystals' (rock candy) - which we finally got to try out today -
(Kaitlyn already ate all off her stick)
Wednesday - zoo
Look at that annoyed face - sisters always getting in HIS picture
The funny face-board we found in the garden there:
(Thursday - we had to clean the house SOMETIME...it only took the entire morning)
Friday: Dying Eggs in the AM
(I was also supposed to take Alee to a birthday party, which I totally forgot)
Egg Hunt in the PM
Natalie was OFF to find her 13 eggs
Alee knew exactly what to do
Kaitlyn needed constant reassurance that Dad would be there the ENTIRE time she needed him in case a bug appeared. (She actually cried and asked if we could have the egg hunt inside so she didn't have to go outside. It was kind of pitiful at first, but she endured and ended up having fun.)
He jumps, he scores! Too bad for the shorter sister. (Don't worry - she got her 13 eggs)
And after 2 recounts and 2 extra searches, we finally found all 65 eggs, including the camouflage eggs (yes, Rob asked what I was thinking hiding those and the clear ones, but it was fun for the older ones)
And of course, Easter Sunday...only Natalie's clothes are new (by #3, a lot of the dresses aren't worthy for Easter Sunday - I don't always do the 'new' Easter clothes...maybe we I have an easier time shopping with fewer helpers or more efficient shoppers...or maybe one time when I have time to sew again...wonder if that day will come back? Why am I rambling, I know you're just here for the pictures...
Seth, the debonair big brother
Kaitlyn, the most recent to join the sassy sisters club
And attempts at everyone together - I wasn't going to get in the picture, but Alee was having meltdowns. (You can pretend Rob was there instead of taking the picture - imagine Seth, older, taller, with a few more pounds, but the same tie, and less hair and glasses)
And there you have it, spring break in 21 pictures.
We had a fun break - even despite a fight breaking out every 20 minutes...am I doing something wrong or do all kids fight that much? I can't imagine they do, but I can't figure out how to fix the problem...I should have had a black/white referee shirt for my Easter dress...
Now, I just need to make my countdown to summer vacation chain with the kids....
And we WILL have fun and they will NOT fight...or else. :)
