February Spotlight: Kaitlyn - Yankee Doodle

Each month I plan to spotlight one of my kids talents - probably many piano e-recitals...but we'll throw in some other things throughout the year as games and other recitals happen.

Our first spotlight of 2012 is Kaitlyn performing Yankee Doodle.

She began taking piano lessons in October of 2011 - we have to work pretty hard to figure it all out, but she has a determined spirit and has been progressing just as quickly as her older siblings did (probably faster because she practices more), despite the fact that she started almost a year or more younger than they were when they started lessons. 

She practiced this one so much, she memorized it, and decided to perform it without the book (but she does read music). On to the e-recital!
