Christmas, part 4

Finishing off the Christmas holiday season....

(21) Kids opening presents from each other
(We also made salt dough ornaments that I baked.)

(22) Painting the salt dough ornaments that we shaped like our faces.

 (23) All of Beth's family together at Mom and Dad's

We also made salt dough ornaments with all of the Edwards - Will's, on the right, was probably my favorite of the creations, but they were all so creative.

After the kids went to bed (Friday night), we had an arm wrestling contest among the adults.

 (24) Daddy Tom and DeeDee and Floyd and Laurel came over at lunch for our traditional Christmas Eve lunch. (We take turns visiting our different sides of the family, so we aren't always present, but DT and DD have gotten together with Mom and Dad and whatever of the kids can be there for a Christmas eve lunch - chili, cornbread, and hot fudge cake - every year for the past 20 years.)

That afternoon, we painted the salt dough ornaments made the night before.

And of course, presents were not long after that.
We opened presents from each other Christmas eve night after David got off work (from Chick-fil-a).

(25) Christmas Day - what else? Presents from Santa and Church (because it's Sunday)
Seth - surprised by a gift he didn't think he'd get

Alee knew exactly what to do with her doll toys.

Chloe (our neice) loved her new little space.

The twins enjoyed their new dollhouse (that fits barbie dolls).

After church, we took family pictures in front of Mom and Dad's house.

The afternoon was filled with naps and baking and playing with new toys.

Thomas used a pillow under his walker because he's too short to reach the floor still.

Jared, deeply engrossed in his next wimpy kid book.

Will with his new steady cam for his camera (made from random hardware store parts David bought him for Christmas and Rob helped the two of them put together on Monday).

Electronics galore -
At least 5 family member received a new (screen type) electronic for Christmas - these were all big hits!

Alee, finally a doll lover, is very attached to her new tinkerbell doll and clothes.

Chloe needed some daily alone time with her new Baby Einstein movie.

And every one loved taking turns with baby Thomas...who wouldn't?

That's probably enough pictures to cover Christmas! We are back home, pictures unloaded, stuff unloaded, and I'm ready to take down the tree today and get the house back in order and ready for the new year.
The next post will be our Christmas card (which we have a few left if I've forgotten anyone that wants a real copy)...and that will be my last post for 2011. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
