Summer 2011
I've barely blogged this summer, so I'll just catch you up on whatever I have pictures of...here goes.
We visited with cousins.
We made some doll clothes.
We made some popsicles (the cookies n cream pudding pops were the biggest hit)!
We went to the zoo (about 4 times)
We made an ammo/artillery belt and holsters.
We visited grandparents and did some crafts.
We gave massages.
We had portraits done (kids only).
We went to baby showers (and played with jake and brittany)
We (unwillingly for mommy) took pictures on the beach.
Alee tried her first soft drink - and LOVED it (Seth just started liking Sprite 0 this year...the only soft drink he likes...the girls still won't drink anything with bubbles in it.)
We played dress up (Beth's old dance costumes)
We went through 3 outfits a day....I mean, we played with water (but only a little).
We did go to a pool here or there, but dealing with 5 kids and a camera around water...not happening.
We read books (lots of them)
We got our own "park" (as the kids call it)
We stayed up late playing games and talking with friends (and then said goodbye when they moved).
Did I mention we went to the beach? :)
We played with balloons.
We sewed some more (altogether 2 baby gifts, 1 bag for Beth, and a bunch of kid requests)
We ran/drove wildly through the house screaming at the top of our lungs and driving Uncle Will crazy.
And Alee began potty training - hence the no shorts.
(Potty Training is Beth's least favorite thing about raising children...she has flunked potty training 101 about 3 times now; 1 of the 4 attempts passed, but only from exemption. i.e. Kaitlyn did it herself)
And we're not done yet! For the next week or so we will be rearranging (beds/dressers) and getting the house together, getting school supplies and clothes, trying to finish up cub scout requirements, and enjoying the last relaxing hours - and after that, it's getting back on a school schedule before August 18th.
