March Pictures

The last time I tried to update this blog, it wouldn't let me load on pictures...and what's a post without pictures? not one my dad will read - that's for sure....anyways, so having skipped most of february and all of march, here goes again - a few pictures to update our life and a quote that I don't think I've shared here yet...the quote first...
Kaitlyn: "I love diarrhea the lumpy kid."
(see if you can guess what popular book/movie she's referring to)

My brother got his eagle...Seth may not ever get his if I don't get out that cub scout book and get to working with him!
We got a new (king size bed) like we've always wanted. The 3 girls got our queen...it looks nice in their room, but there might be too many in the bed!
Seth is learning to play the guitar (I'm not really consistent with these lessons like I am piano and neither is rob, so he knows very little, but he likes it and he doesn't whine about sore fingers like his sister!)
Seth found a (dead) snake on a walk home from school, so we bagged it up and he researched online to find out what kind it was. (I tried to research for him, but only found websites but not the specific snake, so I left trying and he went and found it within minutes on one of the sites I had left up.) smart kid...I try to tell the news without bragging too much, but my aunt says "blogs are for bragging"...so there you have it!
Alee can't get her nap schedule right - she's really flexible, but sometimes I can't figure out what she needs...and this happens...poor baby.
 Carolyn is loving the spring!
 Seth just loves the trees
Natalie decorating the driveway (carolyn's idea) with camellia petals
isn't she cute...that little wild hair of hers
she was happier than this picture makes her look...
Carolyn tries to practice piano...which actually happens about once a week, usually the day before her next lesson....wish Alee would leave her alone
We paid a service to get rid of all the pinestraw, etc in our yard (2 truckloads plus 4 huge bags they couldn't fit)

Now, we just have to keep up with all that's still falling each week so it doesn't get that bad again! (I hate pine trees, but they give the house shade and a nice 'classic look' that will be helpful to sell it one day so we can't cut them down.)

Our thrift store finds (I was hoping only the white needed shoes would come home with us, but they REALLY REALLY wanted those black "high heels" and cowgirl boots!) L to R: Natalie, Carolyn, Kaitlyn (who needed a pair of heels like her sisters)
New shoes, with new clothes from grammy...aren't they cute? (this was at seth's 2nd grade 3rd quarter awards program...they looked like "rag-a-muffins" for Carolyn's the day before...but we were there!)
Our countdown chain to the day we leave for grammy/granddaddy's house for spring break. (the kids are staying the whole week - rob and my brother and i are going on a trip and the kids will be there for 4 days without us!)

my tom boy...she likes all the stuff seth used to like. (she is starting to like some of the girls' toys too - the dolls and strollers mostly - but the dolls are usually head down in the stroller - so different from carolyn who seemed to know how to hold them from the time she was 9 months old)
 yea - NOISE!
april showers bring may flowers...well, back that up a month - march showers bring april flower around here!
They only got to play 5-10 minutes b/c it was pretty chilly and I didn't want them getting sick...but they had fun!

Dear Rob and Beth,

Where I come from, Texas, we have a saying that I try to remember when it comes to bragging, "It ain't braggin' if it's TRUE!"

So, please -- brag on...

Love to all,
Nonny : )
