Twins talking
Kaitlyn and Natalie talking...I overheard:
Where is the playroom said the little child.
I interrupted the conversation:
The playroom is going to be cleaned today said the mother.
Kaitlyn reported to Natalie:
My mother is going to clean the playroom today.
(The mother corrected the subject of that sentence!)
I wish I could record some of their conversations...they said the funniest, weirdest, sometimes confusing-est things. But when I try to record them (video), they see me and run where I can't see them or they stop all together. So, I just have to write down what I hear.
They often play and call each other "Dear". One time recently, one of the twins came to me, "She won't let me be the dear!"
Yesterday's quote (I sent to our mothers in email...):
Kaitlyn’s ramblings while walking to school (well, riding in the stroller while I pushed 100 lbs up a hill):“I wish Jesus could walk with me and talk with me and come to our house and sleep with us and bring His suitcase and stay for lots of sleepovers and ….When will we get to live with Him?”
(Here I get to teach them.) :)
Kaitlyn is probably the more quoted - Natalie is quieter. OK, last quote (I don't think I've shared this one yet?)
Natalie wanted to know why Knuffle Bunny (and Knee) started with K - Kaitlyn's letter when they sounded like N (her own letter). I explained that when you put K and N together like that, that the K was quiet and the N made the sound. They both said (at nearly the same time):
Natalie: I want to be quietKaitlyn: I want to make the sound!
Oh, one more I just thought of...really, the last one -
Kaitlyn is SO loud - she talks loud, she makes loud noises, she talks constantly. Natalie is the quiet one. She does get loud and scream when 'necessary', but mostly, she's the quiet shy one. So, we are telling Kaitlyn all the time, "Be Quiet" or "Use your quiet voice." She finally reported one day,
I don't have a quiet voice!
