Preschool – behind in posting

I decided instead of posting plans and ‘results’ each week, I would just post something at the end of the week with what we did and a video or picture to go with it…I decided this before I got behind in my posting, by the way.
So, ending transportation…
we “played airplane” (on mommy’s feet – you know how you can put a kid up in the air while you lie down on the floor) – all three loved that (alee didn’t go as high as the twins did)
we made “stop”/”go” signs that they played stop/go with (I did most of the making of Natalie’s b/c she was having meltdowns…such a perfectionists – she won’t even try if she thinks she will fail)
we played transportation charades
(and of course the library and reading books)
A quote from our recent car trip:
Kaitlyn: “That’s a kind of transportation” (pointing out the window at everything on the road)
Natalie: “That with big sticks is transportation” (Rob said her reference to the log truck was the understatement of the day) :)

Last week: Themes – Autumn/Fall and Colors (will last two weeks)
M: Learned a new birthday song (in honor of all september birthdays, but specifically for Memere) ASL word: leaf
T: Library and Park (collected leaves for Wed) ASL word: colors
W: Art – leaf rubbings and leaf prints and then just painting leaves
Th: played games – candy land and duck, duck, goose

F: Daddy did the morning routine and painting with watercolors
They also learned the song “Autumntime”…which I will get  a video of later, but they’re napping right now.

All the videos of the week before were too long and I just don’t feel like editing them, so you’ll have to just imagine them playing stop/go.

This week I have a lot of ‘out’ errands to do, so the preschooling will be minimal (hence the continuing theme…I only change when I have time to make it worth the change).

They look like they are having so much fun. Love the fall leaves. Now we just need the fall weather to come!
