School’s OUT for the summer!
Quotes from our last car trip:
Carolyn: “Dad, are you sure you haven’t missed Grammy’s house?” (about half way there)
Seth: “Are there any lions in that grass? Because that’s the kind of grass they live in.”
Carolyn: “What do they mean they’re stayin’ alive?” (yes, the popular song)
Seth: “Oh, I know! It means they’re doing something really dangerous and they’re not gonna die.”
And from today:
Kaitlyn: “You have to be in the real world.” (She said this to me and I don’t know what she meant?? I just told her to stay in our backyard since the neighbors weren’t home.)
We are SO happy for summer!! It makes us want to dance and sing and kiss…kiss?
I thought this was the coolest thing – Seth brought home all this school stuff (complete room clean out – we got several old textbooks) and one item was a witch finger…I thought, what?
Seth explained they use them for reading – so Carolyn immediately inherited it for her reading time…isn’t that a cute idea to make reading/sounding out fun?
I promise I am going to upload some recital songs soon! Will finally recorded Seth when he played at the talent show Friday night at church, so I have them both now…next post?
PS – expect to see many pictures of my children in swimsuits! They have been wearing them most of the day everyday! I have begun shopping for more for the twins – we’re going to need more than 1 if it’s a daily outfit! :)
