Just another day...

1. We need vacuuming daily. Especially if we eat (which we do!) and when it rains (lots of leaves through the den). And right now, we think that vacuuming might be 'too heavy' for me, so Rob's been doing it (although daily doesn't always happen). Monday night (after an hour of power outage), it didn't get finished.

So, Tuesday morning, Carolyn was assigned to vacuum the 2 essential rooms before the pest control guy got here. It took her about 30 minutes just to do the dining room and den - I wanted to just grab the thing and take off with it!

Anyways, so last night after supper, I asked Rob if he would vacuum the dining room. Carolyn walked in, and said with exasperation, "I just vacuumed this morning!"
Rob and I chuckled as she suddenly realized our frustration about the matter. :)

(*Anyone with c-section experience, I would like to know what is considered "light housework" and what I am not supposed to be doing?)

2. Another funny comment, the pest control guy walked in, and not having been here before, doesn't know the kids. He asked at seeing 4 kids all about, "Do you babysit kids?"

Love Carolyn's vacumn statement! I can remember many people asking me when I would go out shopping "Are they all yours?" I should have said, oh, I just checked them out at the library!

I always used the rule if it bothers you when you do it(in the incision area) then you shouldn't be doing it. That's good that Carolyn is helping out.

Hey, if you ever need a 'quicker' vacuum-er, call me! I don't live to far away!

and yes, we're in the same apartments as brent and sherry...I definately agree with you. The problem we have is that we aren't planning on staying there that much longer, so we're debating if its worth moving apartments if we are going to get a house in the next couple months...(and yes, we are desperately trying to stay in WC ward!)

When I had my hysterectomy the "light houswork" was NO sweeping, mopping, vacuuming or lifting. So Carolyn definitely was "helping" in the best way. Your mom was my lifesaver because she would come help each morning while you were in school. I really don't know what we would have done without her. You be very careful. If you aren't, you will regret it in the weeks and months ahead.

I couldn't tell you because from 8 days post c-section, I did everything. seriously, full steam ahead as if I'd never had surgery but Uncle Pete thinks I am superwoman and never ever took off work when I had a baby and just expected me to handle it all... but then I am an idiot and like to push myself...and my big kids were in school and involved in afterschool activities and then homework and bed....but then I never really had any incision pain. I say...do as little as you can get away with and take as good of care of yourself as you can. it will come back to haunt you eventually if you don't. trust me on that...the carpets will be there when you are better!!
