Getting ready to move...

I wanted to make a cute post this week, but honestly I don't have time...so here are some highlights:
1. I have lost complete control of my household while packing and dealing with the legal stuff!

2. The kids are possibly as stressed as we have been.
  • I forgot to check Seth’s bookbag, so he did his homework on the way to school.
  • I left 10 minutes late, passed a wreck, and got Seth to school about 25 minutes late (just in time for the firedrill).
  • He asked on the way to school if we could just turn around and go home and I could teach him today.
  • The girls will watch tv all day today (with short breaks to make a mess or undo some organization) because I packed all their toys yesterday.
  • Natalie can’t find her dresser (it’s in the den on its side). She nearly had a meltdown last night b/c she didn’t have shorts for her pj’s – I dug them out.
  • Carolyn keeps checking the garage and my bag for her silky (like I packed it!) – I didn’t touch her silky.
3. We are making progress with packing and the kids having almost nothing left in their rooms. (Carolyn “couldn’t wait to sleep on the floor” last night.)

4. My 20 minute break at the computer is over – I need to get back to packing, organizing, and cleaning!
Here’s the front of the ‘new’ house (for those that asked):

The new house looks nice. I like all the trees around it. We don't have trees like that out here.

I love the front of your house, it looks like a big family should live there! I am so grateful you hve it! soon all the stress will be gone and you will laugh at the folly of it all! Wish I was a little younger and there to help you, I am really good at packing!! We love you!!! Grandma
actually I'd rather you be here to play with them! I packed all their toys yesterday and all they've done today is watch TV b/c it's all that's left! (They'll go to Rob's mom's house tomorrow morning until Thursday, so they'll be entertained/out of the way for at least 24 hours!)

I love, love, love your new house and I feel like Grandma..it definitely looks like a big family should live there...so glad you got it and it will fit your family well! I know that right now things are crazy but once you get moved in, it will all settle down..you are a super hero to me...4 small kids, pregnant and moving to a new house...I would be flipping out all over the place and yet you are still calm and taking it all in stride! I hope you get a lot of help with the move..I wish I was there to lend a hand...I wouldn't mind at all taking those 4 cuties off your hands...good luck! I love you!!!
HA! I AM flipping out all over the place! :)

I feel so sad that I am not there helping you. I know next week it will be better but I can see how this week is a real challenge. I'll get to come soon. ( Work sure does get in the way!)

The house is beautiful! I cannot wait to see more pictures! It looks like you will have a nice yards for the children!!! And better yet, a back door??? LOVE it! Think the move is almost there! Some advice from some one that has moved a lot, let the children "unpack" their toys, it really will not get done, but they will spend hours digging their toys out, leaving you time to unpack the other rooms! And hey maybe you will not have to dig stuff out of the boxes, just organize. It will seem like the Orr children came over for a play date! I am so excited for you guys!

That's the weirdest thing. I had some 'censored' shorts just like that when I was three.
