Summer Vacation has begun

1. A grandparent asked if Seth had a kindergarten graduation last week. Yes...but in his mother's rush to get out the door with 3 girls (dressed with 'fixed hair') and leave the house immaculate (just in case someone came to look while we were gone), THE CAMERA WAS FORGOTTEN!

Here is a sort of 'retake'. (I am going to get a copy of a friend's recording/pictures from the "kindergarten step up") but for now, here's the 'farewell' song they sang for us. (I can't believe he remembered it all!)

2. It's snowing! (j/k ...)
Mom said I should take a picture of the messes they make that I've been complaining about recently. (I love my kids, but I love them best before 18 months and after 2 years! I think Carolyn and Seth's age is my favorite so far, although 6-9 months is pretty cute too.) Here's today's disaster (It was supposed to be naptime, and I didn't run back at the first noise...wish I would have looking back!):

(note: We took a walk this morning in my effort to exercise again, and I gave them popsicles. Since they looked like popsicles after the stroller ride with frozen stickiness, they had a bath...I suppose it won't be their only bath today.)

I just can't seem to keep stuff high enough from them! They are giving a whole new meaning to 'child proofing'. :) Rob said he'd have beat them...on any other day, I would have too, but today, I'm feeling patient. (I wasn't for most of May.)

a hundred thanks to Seth who sat there with cloths and helped me wipe off every powder covered piece of a toy and clean the dresser/carpet!

great picture. How did they get up there in the first place?

The incredible duo! They just like to keep life exciting. (I am glad Jacob was not a twin. He made enough excitement on his own. His favorite mess was climbing on the washing machine and scooping out the washing powder everwhere!)

Seth's song just made my long day at work brighter! I love how he remembered all the hand motions. We may be asking soon "Are you smarter than a first grader!"
Daniel, they climb up the drawers like a ladder - Natalie can climb up just about anything with time.
Mom, Oh, I laughed out loud reading that - I thought for sure you'd have mentioned one of David's hellian moments (the dumping of BB's or the smashing of the window barehanded, or better yet, the poop finger painting)...I guess I was too young with Jacob to remember much more than the gatorade bottles at Dad's store. (Wouldn't it have been awful for Jacob and David to have been twins??)

As for Natalie and Kaitlyn...well, I just had to laugh..been there and done that and am so glad I don't have to do it again..hahahaha! You are VERY PATIENT...and you will look back at that and laugh one day...kudos to Seth for helping his mom with the clean up...what a great kid!!!

Seth did a great job. He is so cute. Molly is begging me to see it again. So we will watch it a few more times.

love the video!!! yay for Seth...I want an invite too to the blog! (my kids HAD to have one and now NEVER check it!) Powder is bad but believe me, little itty bitty clingy white styrofoam balls from a bean bag are worse...I should know cause I've cleaned both!
