Twins' quilts

I finished the quilts for the twins' toddler beds (my goal was to finish the quilts before we bought them beds). So, Rob said, "Let's go get some beds this weekend!" (I'm not so sure I'm ready to have Natalie 'loose', but if it were just Kaitlyn, I would SO do it. I am a little tired of the tight squeeze it is between the dresser and cribs to get in the door - a shorter 'bed' would help that.

Anyways - here they are:

They like them...so I put them up in the closet so they don't ruin them before I actually buy the beds to go with them!

Reminder: here are the curtains that are in the room-

(no, the walls aren't green in their room...this is when they were in their 'old' room, now Seth's)
See the fabrics repeated? :) (I had to get the entire remnant when I bought the fabric for the curtains...glad I did, b/c now it's in all three quilts of the girls.) how nice...it looks so "designed"

Carolyn's quilt...in progress (to be posted within the month - or so that's my goal!) :)

Here are the strips I'm going to sew together (and add 'berry' fabric, like the square at top and bottom along the two sides). Yes, I know it's not a 'real' quilt with lots of little pieces - I'm too impatient to do that kind!!

(note -Carolyn insisted on having 'cats' on her quilt like Seth's has dinosaurs...yea for fabric with cats all over it so no extra appliqués!)

u are too talented beth....these quilts are sooooo cute!
Beth, how do you do it? You have twice as many kids as me and you actually get your projects done! I still have tons of projects and just can't find the time. Do you do them while they are awake?(I am talking about the twins)I do love the quilts by the way.
No, unless I only have a 15 minute part of a project (that I can do while they're awake...if they're watching tv), but almost all of my projects get done during the 2 hours they're asleep at naptime or after I put them down for bed. (Naptime depends on if Carolyn is interested in my time or if I computer stuff to do - like budgeting, yuk)
oh, and with every kid I have, I get more done (yeah, that doesn't sound logical does it?) Not sure how that happens?

Those look really good. I know it's hard, I did some for my boys...I swore I'd never do it again.

I am so impressed! I made a quilt for Madelyn...I started when she was two and gave it to her for her fifth birthday! I don't know how you can have finished almost 4! I want to make some for the boys, I don't know if I'm brave enough. I might do what you did and just use larger fabric pieces, the little pieces take forever! But Jackson broke the thread holder off of my sewing machine...and the pedal on the piano...and Michael's headset for his xbox...the list goes on! :-)

You are quite the homemaker Beth! I love the matching curtains/bedspreads. :) Those are awesome. :) Great treasures for your kids to keep when they grow up as fond memories.

You can call me 208-360-1805 or just email me She08009@byui.edu ...or both! I would love any PAF files you have that contain people related to me lol THANK YOU!
Wow, the quilts look wonderful! I can't believe you could sew those with all 4 kids. I'm lucky if I get a shower with my two :-). I'm in aww. The kids are getting so big. We hope to see you tonight for desert for the Subway party.
