Get out the spot shot

So Kaitlyn HATES diaper changes. I noticed today that she laid perfectly still while I took one off and wiped but she freaked out when I tried to put a clean one on and I couldn't get her to stay down (this is usually where I pop her little leg or I hold her down with my extra limb, oh wait - I didn't get one of those, but I should have with twins).

So anyways. I said, "You don't want to wear a diaper?" she shook her head "NO" (this is how we communicate - I ask questions and she shakes her head yes or no until we figure out what she wants). So I said, "Do you want to wear panties?" She shook her head "YES". So, we went in to Carolyn's room, took some (no - NOT the princess ones - that would have been WWIII), and she willingly stepped into them.

I don't know why I'm letting her do this b/c I am like 98% sure she is NOT ready to potty train, but cleaning up pee out of the carpet sounded easier than holding her little fat butt down while she screamed.

So, the kids are all playing on the green chair and giggling (and I think tickling), and I said, "Oh, Kaitlyn's wearing panties so she might pee pee on you." They all burst out laughing (all 4 of them). I just smiled and chuckled too. Seth calmed down, "Are you kidding?"
"No, I'm absolutely serious" I said with a smile.
(Shortly thereafter, the big kids retreated to their room - hahaha.)

(Maybe she'll let me put a diaper on her after she pees all over herself and sees how gross it is...worked great for Carolyn - for about 3 1/2 years actually. haha - j/k She is potty trained now...98% of the time)

Okay, Beth, so now I have to know...how long did Kaitlyn go before she pee peed on her self or did she make it to the potty??? You know, Lauren did that shortly after she was two and she potty trained herself because she only had three accidents and then none...maybe Kaitlyn is a REALLY YOUNG learner...wouldn't that be cool for you??

LaNelle HATED diapers and when she was 16 months old, she refused to wear them and at 18 months, we took a two week vacation...we drove from Columbia to Chicago to visit Grandma and Gramps and then from Chicago to NY to visit the Sheridans and then back to Columbia and we did not bring diapers or pull-ups for her and she had one accident while sleeping at Grandma's but only enough to wet her pants and not the bed..she actually woke up and ran to the bathroom!!! Andrew did the exact same thing..but Peter and Patti were 3 before they were completely trained (and I have NO IDEA about the twins...it's all a big blur...)

hey beth...I just noticed the names of your author's and assume Rob is Rupit but wasn't that the name of your first doll????
1st doll - I think it was grouchy? (pronounced groo-chee). Ask mom. Rupit was given to Rob by Jared and Jacob (who else!?)
Oh, Kaitlyn finally did pee, but not enough to wet the floor (well, at least I couldn't find a wet spot!) and since that I have been able to convince her to wear diapers...(I'm not sure I'm brave enough to let her wear panties all the time yet!)
