Crafts Crafts Crafts

We have a daily disaster of 'crafts' (lots of cutting and pasting with stickiness, shreds of paper, and finished projects everywhere). I would prefer to stifle the creativity from the beginning, but I usually don't start yelling until about 2 or 3 in the afternoon. Of course, today I couldn't fuss b/c they were making crafts for my 'birthday'. (No, my birthday is not today. It was about 5 months ago, but they didn't believe me.) It actually is my great grandfather's birthday (well, ok, he's not around to celebrate it anymore, but I still think about it every year). Anyways...here's the mess:

A knight hat (even with holes in the face part):
She 'wrote a book':
I did make them clean it...with a consequence of naps if it wasn't...Carolyn's excuse is always "I'm too tired to clean"!

I have banned cutting in my house! I have the tiny pieces of paper you can not even pick up! But I am left to clean them up! Hayden did have to learn correctly how to use them when she went to school though, so it is good practice for them, and a skill required in kindergarten! So keep on cutting! Addison is better at it than Hayden!! Boys do like to destroy things though!
yes, Carolyn is my 'confetti maker', although she has gotten better over the past year so at lesat the 'confetti' is bigger and i don't ALWAYS have to get out the vacuum! I finally set up the little kid table in their room again last night with two rules: keep the babies out (away from the scissors) and the floor/table cleaned each night...we'll see how that goes!

I like Carolyn's excuse for not cleaning...that is the same one that Lauren uses but you actually got them to clean up...Lauren just pitches a fit and cries until we get tired of listening to it and then I have to bring in the the big gun (her dad!!!) and we at last get a somewhat clean room...I am always too tired to clean too..hahaha! I liked all the crafts!
