Artistic Expression
For family home evening (FHE), we have 4 things the kids rotate through (picking the opening song, picking the activity song, being the star "showing off" really, and craft/service). So Carolyn had the craft tonight and she chose to draw pictures of grandparents. So, we all picked a set of our grandparents and drew them (except Rob - he guards the crayons from the twins' wild hands!)
1. Carolyn chose Grammy and Granddaddy. (She is in the picture between them. There is also a ladder on the right...?)
2. Seth chose Memere and Grandpa (he also was going to do Saba and Nonny, but I don't think he finished that one?)
3. I chose Grandma and Gramps; Kaitlyn and Natalie helped me.
(Sorry, this picture has been lost)
4. Seth also did this one - Daddy Tom and DeeDee I think.
Enjoy!
There is one more picture for your viewing pleasure. Carolyn drew this one last night and we were rolling laughing! She describes her picture so straight forward like we can obviously tell what she drew. Seth gets SO easily offended! See picture and then read below.
First the 3rd stick figure wasn't there and he thought he got left out. I realized there were two tall kids and one short kid - she had left out Kaitlyn. "Seth's the one with the big head." So, he got mad "I don't have a big head!" So she added Kaitlyn.
Then she was showing us the hair. Seth got upset b/c she gave him long hair. (I told him short hair is hard to draw. I can't do it.) I asked her why Daddy didn't have any hair (just to be funny). She said "Because he has bald."
We got to talking about ears, so she added them (yeah, they look like some big ol' earrings!
The boxish shape between me and Rob is us holding hands (cute that she perceives we love each other!) :)
I pointed out only 4 of us had eyelashes (she'd left them off of Kaitlyn and Seth - the two with the longest eyelashes!) So, she added them. Then, we took a look. Seth: "HEY! I look like a girl!"
hahaha! It was just one thing after another. Watching her draw is so funny. Oh, speaking of Carolyn since this seems mostly about her, here she is spelling her name:
