Cast Edit & Other things

Let me edit my previous post with a new posting. My husband is currently in the garage cutting off his cast. I thought he was going to use wire cutters, but I hear a small motor...like a power tool. I told him I was going to call his mother and tell on him, but that seemed to have little effect - sorry Rachel - I guess that wore off some time ago. Hmm...I hope he doesn't cut his leg off. Should I check on him?
I don't always listen to my doctors (when I don't see that it's important), so everytime I talk to him about just wearing the thing for three weeks and not messing with it, he gives me a little reminder that I'm like the pot calling the kettle black. (I have never removed a medical device without permission though.)
Good, the motor sound stopped.
I hope "Mickey" doesn't come out. (We have heard a scratchy sound in our walls the past weeks and yesterday as I was coming home from some shopping I walked to the backdoor, then backed up and went around to the front after I came within feet of a mouse in the garage.) If I had a cast and "Mickey" came out while I was sawing off my cast, I'm sure I would saw off my whole leg! I'll keep you 'posted' on how this 'taking matters into his own hands' goes! (OH, no! More power tool noises)

Yesterday I had a few things I needed to get - one was jeans. Do you know what is in EVERY pair of jeans I found? Spandex! in Jeans! What is this the 80's!? Yuk! I hate stretch jeans. I did find one pair of cotton poly blend from old navy, but I'd have to order them and hope they fit.
So I finally (after a long drawn out complaining session) just went and got the dumb stretch jeans. Maybe I'd like them, I tried to convince myself. I don't. I'm taking the second pair (that I haven't worn) back this week. I'm going to go to old navy.com and order the one pair of cotton/poly jeans in my size. (Non-stretch jeans wouldn't be QUITE so hard to find if I didn't require tall/long.) OK, I'll get off my "I hate stretch jeans soapbox".

Last thing - this is actually a positive post I've been wanting to put. I like to complain loudly when things don't go like I like, but I really am not usually as annoyed as I am loud. I wanted to say that I have a lot of things to be thankful for and as I was listening to the women's conference at the end of September, we were singing (all together) "The Lord Is My Light" and I was very touched by the line in verse three where it says, "and walking by faith I am blessed every hour" because I truly am!
