Zoo
We went to the zoo on Friday, and it was probably the best outting I've ever had with the kids (without Rob to help). I went alone with them (no friends, no other kids...just me and mine). I was a little anxious about how things would go, but things went so smoothly! We had no schedule but our own. The babies ate lunch just like the big kids, so no looking for a discrete place to nurse or being limited to one bottle feeding, etc. The kids had no other kids to get hyper with. and so on...
I didn't take too many pictures, because I'm still spending most of the time trying to keep them all from getting lost! But I'll get better at juggling pictures and outtings!
We went to the 'petting zoo' (farm) part of the zoo. I wasn't sure if I'd like to go, but I thought the kids would like it and they did. While checking out the goats, Seth said he would like to feed one. I (as always) didn't have any change and I told him this. (I tend to carry no money. My cards have numbers I can call if I lose them...can't call the money back. Plus, those people with sob stories always make me feel guilty, even when I know they're lying to me to get money, so I can honestly say I don't have any money only if I don't have any...rambling, back to the story.) So, some guy who had bought some goat food (which looked just like dog food) overheard me, let Seth have some, and continued walking with his kid to feed another goat. OF COURSE, when Seth gets near the goat he doesn't want to feed him. So, guess who gets to feed the goat!? (Their tongues feel like sticky glue.) Carolyn fed him the last pellet of food...I should have asked her to start with...
I was debating on whether or not to take them to the state fair since they hate rides and they don't always eat what we buy them, but I think I will just for the farm animals. I think they liked that part one of the best! OK, off to bed!
