Schedule continues to mingle with chaos around here, but we have had some interesting things in our crazy lately. Carolyn was a geography bee finalist for her school. (In her words, she got in on luck. I'm pretty sure so did all the contestants. Fortunately, her luck ran out, so we don't have to fit in the next level competition to the calendar.) Gideon's starting to be interested in self-feeding. He enjoys us loading the fork/spoon and him getting it to mouth. (He loves shells and cheese, which is our Wednesday Thermos lunch box day for the school kids.) The chair I picked up for free before Gideon was born and that I finally stripped last summer has now been refinished. My goal is to recover it before the end of summer. :) (Yes, I know that's 6 months away - realistic goals!) Right before grad school started, we switched out the bifold doors of the playroom (downstairs bedroom) closet to normal doors. Can you tell what's missing? I need to pai...

The blog being the top of that procrastination list! Most of what's on my list is not essential to get done, so while I'm keeping up with everything from diapers to youth activities, I'm letting that list just simmer for a while. We'll just fly through everything from Thanksgiving to New year's day and then some to catch you up! Rob finished his first semester in grad school with an A in his first class. This semester he's taking 2 classes (maybe a 3rd quasi-class). Gideon, like Seth in his baby years, is getting a little college in early! Thanksgiving was great and simple. We went out to eat this year with Rob's family. We only made desserts. (Natalie helped with the lattice work on the pie.) Then we decorated for Christmas (before the weekend was over - it was the only way it was getting done, and I'm glad that goal happened.) Next year task: check ALL the lights before stringing the tree. (We did buy more for the bottom section.) ...
